This ancient art form, often considered the highest form of expression of Chinese painting, presents reverence for the cosmic forces of nature and demonstrates the Taoist balance of yin and yang. The encompassing message that humans are minuscule compared to nature’s might mirrors our assurance for sourcing natural, sustainable ingredients that capture the protective and nourishing properties of botanical living materials.
Our handcrafted bar soaps pay homage to the yin and yang of nature by using the highest quality ingredients and our special pouring technique that reflect the spirit and aesthetic of the Shan Shui paintings. Utilizing old-world soap making methods, we look to the past to ensure that the final product is good for the skin and the environment. We use 20-30% of natural essential oils in our bar soaps in addition to ecologically sourced palm oil. Indulge in one of our soaps for a truly poetic lathering experience!
Red Kamala & Lemon Verbena
Climb up the path on a stately mountain until you reach the top of Huangshan, drink in the sight of the reddened clouds, and breathe in the vitality of nature. This gentle bar soap has a glossy lemon verbena scent, and is coloured naturally with kamala and madder root powder.
For mindful use: Lather up with water and rinse off. Please note that all the soaps will vary in design due to the unique, handcrafted nature of our products.
